HOW WE DID AT PROVINCIALS

Another year with excellent results. Even though we had our set backs with the loss of excellent competitors such as Mr. Robert Bradley and Mr. Ryan Bansie both provincial champions we still maintain our level of dominance. Regaining his Provincial title is current Pan American champion Kamil Dubinski in the Mens Flyweight class. 2 time Mens Flyweight Champion. Then we have Noula Mina current 3 time Womens Heavyweight Champion who takes over the womens middleweight class to hold a provincial title for 4 consecutive years. A new Champion to add to the list of champions from London is Erin Schned now the new Womens heavyweight class. We sent three and came back with three champions. Nice odds. I would like to congratulate these athletes on the hard work they have done and wish them luck for their 2004 Olympic hopes.

Canadian National Team Trials 2003

This year the event is to be held April 11th weekend in Quebec. I hope that these athletes train hard for they are now a known factor in their respective weight classes. Keep up the good work.

Master Villanueva is retiring from active competition

Master Villanueva has made a decision to discontinue his competitive career to give more focus on the life and upbringing of his athletes. He feels he has fulfilled a solid career as an active player in the field and now wishes to concentrate on his teaching. He current holds one of the largest teams on the Provincial body and is hoping this continues to grow. Master Villanueva wishes to thank all of his students for the dedication and hard work that they have put forth making his decision very much worth while.
